great proximity to union square and iconic landmarks
My stay was fantastic, as we were just a few steps from union square and a short walk to chinatown, making it easy to explore the city's best spots on foot. plus, the staff was incredibly helpful, organizing a taxi for our airport ride and always responding quickly to our needs.

Had an awesome trip with my friends! We visited the Golden Gate Park and Fisherman’s Wharf, both super fun. The service was friendly, and the location was ideal. The breakfast options catered to everyone, from waffles to healthy choices, and my room was clean and comfy. Perfect spot for a group getaway!
The check-in experience was off. The attendant was unfriendly and didn't provide much info. Thankfully, the rest of the staff was helpful and warm.

I enjoyed my time at the Handlery Union Square due to the great location. It made it easy to explore nearby shops and restaurants. My room was spacious and nicely furnished, making it a comfortable space to relax. The staff was friendly and attentive, responding well to my requests. However, the check-in experience lacked warmth. The attendant seemed a bit unfriendly and didn't share much information. Also, the hallway carpets felt dated and could use some updating. While the hotel provided a good stay, some small changes would enhance the experience.

missingWrote a review on 11 Julspacious roomconvenient locationthoughtful amenitiesoutdated furnishings
Location right near Union Square offers easy access to various attractions and public transport. The spacious Queen Room had plenty of room to move around, with a decent-sized bathroom that sported additional amenities like extra toiletries and thoughtful touches like hooks for convenience.
The water pressure in the shower left much to be desired, leading to a less than enjoyable experience. The air conditioning struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, feeling inadequate even on high settings. Noise from the street was a nuisance, affecting sleep, starting early and often lasting late into the night. Additionally, the furnishings felt outdated, giving the impression that the hotel hasn't seen a renovation in quite a while, which isn't what I'd expect for the rates they're charging.

I had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful heated swimming pool and relaxing in the cozy lobby during my recent stay. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed, but that didn't take away from my experience. I highly recommend checking out the nearby cafes, especially Cafe Mason for breakfast! 😊

The location near the cable car first stop is unbeatable for sightseeing. Room cleanliness and comfort stood out, with the king bed providing a restful night's sleep after exploring. Staff interactions were friendly, which contributed positively to the overall experience. However, the hotel has a slightly dated feel despite recent refurbishments, which might not appeal to everyone. The luggage storage service was a convenient bonus during my two-night stay.

Surprise Upgrade Made Our Day
The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The proximity to Union Square was fantastic, making our city exploration easy and enjoyable!
The carpets had a musty smell that could use some refreshing, and the nearby homeless presence felt a bit uncomfortable at times, though we didn’t feel unsafe.
